For those of you who have joined or are considering joining:
Yes, this forum does have a limited membership. Meaning, you must be approved as a member before you can do anything. Please, do not be discouraged by this.
I decided to do this for a number of reasons, primarily thus: one of my most favorite, and most frequented, role play sites that a friend of mine created is now overrun with bot accounts, advertisers, and other spammers. I don't like seeing it, and it's really depressing. It's also aggravating for someone moderating an active site when people sign up with fake accounts to just spam. So, for this reason, I do have to approve membership.
Also, this is a Christian site. I get heckled for being a Christian a lot on my facebook, and I know there are people out there who are not my friends, do not know me, and would just like to join to be a nuisance. This is another reason the membership is limited.
I understand this won't fix every problem, but I do know that it helps quite a bit.
I would like to assure anyone reading this: if you want to join, please do. I get back to requests very quickly. I check this site frequently, so I can pretty much assure you that if you request to join, you will be approved within 24 hours, if not the first twelve.
Just a tip:
- Make your username coherent. If it's a bunch of random letters and numbers, I will probably reject it. A lot of bots have usernames like this.
